Independence were from all over the World and were willing to lay down their lives so that one day their decendents would live in a prosperous free land.

Texas now ranks 28th overall including 30th for quality, 18th for safety and 38th for spending in education in 2023. There are 50 states. We fly the Lone Star on our flag proudly as if to say we are #1. Yet we don't even crack the top 10 on education.

Texas ranks 32nd in healthcare, 40th in natural environment, 47th in opportunity, 36th in crime and correction, 16th in fiscal stability, and yet we are 8th in economy. Where is the money going?

Texas is ranked 13th in infrastructure. There are bridges falling apart all across our state, no new highways are being built, but toll roads are being erected in every major city. They are making us pay an additional fee, tho we pay taxes to maintain our existing roads already, to drive on new roads. Yet these payments are being used as a bank to help surrounding counties to build another money making machine as such as SH 249 Tollway in NW Houston.

We can write a book on our failures with immigration, equality, corruption, energy, and many other downfalls about this state that we love called Texas. But our rankings compared to the other 49 states tells us why we stand where we are.

It is time that we have a governor that loves this state and all of the people that lives here. It is time that we work to be in the top of those rankings again. It is time that we have a governor that is willing to tackle our problems on day one in office and not years after the problem has increased. I am willing to be that governor, a true Texan that wants to see a prosperous state succeed as a bright beacon of hope like the Lone Star was intended to be.
